History on Tap: The Women Who Shaped the Central Coast
Join us for a fantastic evening telling the stories of the women who shaped, and saved, the Central Coast! We’ll hear from the wonderful Kathryn McKenzie and Dr. Stephen Palumbi about women politicians, scientists, and changemakers who made this special place what it is today, both in habitats and people. Topics include Julia Platt, PG’s first woman mayor and the reason behind much of our marine conservation work, Minnie Coyle, Monterey's first and only woman mayor, Ruth Andresen, a tireless volunteer and activist in Salinas, and Julie Packard, founder of the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Previous works include publications in paleontology, anthropology, and astronomy, including collaborations with the Raymond M.
