Citizen Scientists make a difference and you can too!

As a teacher at Castroville Elementary School, Julio Alfaro has long supported the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History because of its pivotal role in his students' science education. Children in his class participated in unique outdoor science protocols, contributed to long term environmental health monitoring, and formed a deep connection to our local marine sanctuary on their field trips. His students are empowered by science!

The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History serves as an educational science hub for Julio's students, and all residents and visitors of Monterey County. This year, your support through MC Gives! will help us expand access, specifically focused on underserved communities, to hands-on educational programming such as Science Saturdays and the STREAM Project (Scientific Training, Research, Education, and Monitoring). STREAM provides a suite of free school programs focused on promoting the ecological steward in all of us.

From November 8 through December 31, your year-end gift goes even further through a pro-rata match each gift receives from MC Gives!
