Rocks, insects, fossils, leaves! Discover the wonders of nature through responsible curation and sharing of objects and experiences at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History! Become a Nature Exchange Naturalist by visiting during the Nature Exchange Sharing Hours and sign up with a docent for FREE.
Sharing Hours are Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays
10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm
After Joining, Nature Exchange Naturalists Can:
Explore natural curiosities in your backyard or neighborhood
Investigate to lean more about nature using the resources and tools in the Nature Exchange
Share your treasures and experiences with a docent in the Nature Exchange during sharing hours at the PG Museum or other Participating locations
And Redeem the credits you are awarded to take something home from the Nature Exchange for your own collection
The Nature Exchange comes to the Museum through a partnership with Science North, an interactive science museum in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. We’re so excited to see what you’ll bring in to exchange!
Because much of Moneterey County is located in protected conservation areas and we want to make sure we trade responsibly, the PG Museum has some guidelines for what we can accept at the Nature Exchange:
