The Museum has many rental opportunities:

  • Birthday Parties
  • Special Exhibit Hall: Large auditorium, audio/visual with large screen available. Max. 140 people.
  • Museum Library: Ideal meeting room with large table seating 10 people. Max. 24 people.
  • Upstairs Education Room: Max. 34 people. 
  • Downstairs Education Room: Max. 30 people.

Museum Birthday Parties

Group Parties: Each birthday party package includes access to birthday party room for 3 hours: 1.5 hours for staff-led activities and lunch and 1.5 hours for presents, cake and gathering things to go. Each birthday must vacate birthday party room 3 hours after start of party. Birthday packages are designed for a maximum of 15 children and require one adult per every 5 children.

How to reserve a party package: Fill out registration information below and bring or send with deposit to:165 Forest Avenue, Pacific Grove, CA 93950. We require a $100 deposit with all registration forms. In case of cancellation, the museum will refund the $100 deposit to all parties that cancel at least two weeks prior to the scheduled party. All cancellations that are made less than two weeks prior to the scheduled party will lose the $100 deposit. As we cannot guarantee that the Museum can accommodate one specific date please choose at least three possible dates for celebrating.

Special Exhibits Hall

 

The Special Exhibits Hall has a capacity of 140 persons seated theatre style.  It has available two microphones (one wireless) with a podium, two projection screens (one on either side of the room), a projector, a DVD player, and has wireless connectivity.  Please discuss any special needs you may have with Museum Staff.  The Special Exhibits hall costs $200 for a 3 hour event for organizations without a focus on natural history and $100 for a 3 hour event for those that do have a focus on natural history.

Downstairs Education Room

 

The Downstairs Education Room has a capacity of 30 people.  It is best suited for hosting classes, especially for school groups that want to use arts and crafts.  The cost for a 3 hour event at the Downstairs Education room is $50.

Upstairs Education Room

 

The Upstairs Education Room has a capacity of 30 people.  It is best suited for school groups and for smaller group lectures.  The cost for a 3 hour event in the Upstairs Education Room is $50.

Museum Library

The Museum's Library has a capacity of 25 people. Having a large table that comfortably seats twelve people, the Library is ideally suited for small meetings.  The cost for a 3 hour event for the Library is $50.
