The Carmel River Steelhead Association is proud to host Dr. Cynthia Le Doux-Bloom for her fascinating presentation on striped bass. This is a must-hear lecture for anyone wanting to know anything about stripers and how they affect our local waters. Topics include introduction and distribution in California, life history, population changes, and results of recent diet studies and eradication efforts in the Delta.
Dr. Cynthia Le Doux-Bloom has been leading anadromous fish studies in California, Washington, and the Gulf of Alaska for more than 25 years. Her work concerns fish-habitat relationships, watershed assessment, and habitat restoration effectiveness. She provides expertise on acoustic biotelemetry, the effects of water export, construction, and anthropogenic noise on fish physiology and behavior, fish capture and handling techniques, and striped bass predation.
Admission to the lecture is $5. All CRSA and Museum members are free.
