PGMNH partners with Spark in Nature's Melinda Nakagawa to bring you three different nature journaling workshops! Nature journaling is about getting out to see nature and recording our observations and experiences in a journal using a combination of words, sketches, and numbers. By keeping a nature journal, we expand our awareness and begin to see rather than just look, notice new things hidden in the ordinary, and develop a deeper curiosity, wonder and joy in nature.
Just bring paper, pencil and your curiosity!
TEACHER WORKSHOP:
Monterey County teachers are invited to participate as students of nature journaling and then to be a part of a conversation on how Nature Journaling might be used in your classroom to support NGSS, CCSS, and social emotional learning. A Zoom invitation will be sent to you a day before class begins.
Thanks to support from the Monterey County Board of Supervisors.
