We are lucky enough to live in a place with a wealth of native and endemic plants which offer us bright flowers year round. Join botanical illustrator Liana Vitousek in the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History's native plant garden and learn the basics of plant identification, helpful tips for illustrating plants, and spend some time outside drawing! You will come away with knowledge of how to create a field sketchbook page, what to focus on when drawing a plant for identification purposes, and the pleasure of an afternoon spent in the garden. Colored pencils and drawing paper will be provided, but any other mediums are welcome and encouraged.
