Lecture: The National Effort to Save Monarch Butterflies

Leading scientists recently signed a petition to protect the monarch butterfly under the Endangered Species Act and submitted it to the U.S. Department of the Interior. Find out about the current research that prompted this move.

Sarina Jepsen, Endangered Species Program Director for the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, will present information the conservation status and needs of the monarch butterfly. She will discuss the Xerces Society’s efforts to conserve monarch butterflies, both nationally and in California.  

Saturday, February 7 at 3:00 pm. Admission is $5 at the auditorium door and free for Museum members.
