At 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14th, the Museum will open its doors to new volunteers interested in serving their community in a variety of opportunities. Staff and current volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provide details on their Museum experiences.

Adults and children are all welcome to hear from gem and mineral experts and enthusiasts at the Carmel Valley Gem and Mineral Society monthly meetings. These free monthly meetings are held at the Museum at 7pm on the second Friday of each month (except June and December.) Interested members are also welcome to attend the club's board meeting, held at the same location one hour before the general meeting.

Local filmmakers Steve and Mary Albert have premiered three of their exceptional natural history films here at the museum. On this evening we will enjoy a program that includes their most recently completed documentary along with one of their earlier titles (The Sanderling). Our program is timed to coincide with the P.G. Public Library's celebration of Rachel Carson's book "The Edge of the Sea."
Admission is $5 (free for Museum Members)
