From the Mountains to the Sea- Teacher Workshop

A two day workshop of lessons and activities about Watersheds, Water Supply and the Ocean for teachers of K-12th grade. Thursday, June 21st and Friday, June 22nd from 8:30am- 4:30pm.

Day One: LAND: An exploration of watersheds, groundwater, and water quality monitoring using lessons from the Project WET curriculum and others. We will be at beautiful Garland Ranch Regional Park in Carmel Valley. You will experience hands-on science activities that are aligned to the NGSS standards.

Day Two: SEA:  We will start at the Carmel River Beach and learn how to assess the health of the wetlands and the ocean using Project WET, Watershed Cruizin' and other curricula. A panel of people from local environmental organizations will present on opportunities for getting your students to study and care for our local watersheds.

Cost: $15 for one day or $20 for both days.

CEU's: Continuing Education Units will be offered for teachers completing the workshop. Teachers will receive the 380 page Project WET Curriculum for attending the training. 

Morning snacks and beverages will be provided. Please bring your lunch each day.
