Join us as we learn about living on an active tectonic plate boundary during this members-only event. Participants will stop at two locations, where the San Andreas Fault splits into two main strands, just south of Hollister.
Members will personally map one of the strands (Calaveras Fault) through the town of Hollister by walking several blocks and making observations of cultural features, then straddle the San Andreas fault where it breaks a concrete culvert at DeRose Winery, and possibly buy a bottle or two.
Members will meet at the Museum at the beginning of the trip. Carpooling is encouraged.
There are 20 spaces available. Be sure to reserve your spot early! To reserve a spot, email Mary Martha Waltz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
