Have you been looking for people to talk with about what you're reading? Are you interested in learning about topics in contemporary ecology and past natural history? Join the museum's Natural History Book Club. Just begun in September 2015, we meet every other month to discuss a selected book.
Feel welcome to attend at any time, even if you haven't been before or haven't quite finished the book. Please note, however, that the Natural History Book Club is open exclusively to Museum members, volunteers, and staff. We meet in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. If you care to, bring a snack to share.
For our March 17th meeting we'll discuss:
The Spine of the Continent: The Race to Save America's Last, Best Wilderness, by Mary Ellen Hannibal (2013, Lyon's Press). The only local library with a copy to loan is at Monterey Peninsula College. However, both new and used copies (hardcover and paperback) are available from online retailers.
