Physical Sciences Summer Day Camp

One of three Summer Day Camps being offered by the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History!

Campers will spend two days learning about the science and fun of simple machines, and three days focusing on magnetism and electricity.

When focusing on simple machines, campers use specially designed LEGO sets to build machines using levers, pulleys, gears, inclined planes, wheels, and axles. Among other things, they catapult Cheerios, balance on a teeter-totter, and build race cars.

When focusing on magnetism and electricty, campers make electromagnets, build flashlights, and complete a final project: making an individual electronic game board to take home.

Open to children who will be 9 or 10 years old in August.
