Lithograph image of Camilla Urso (1842-1902) reproduced on photographic paper. Urso was born in Nantes, France, and was a child prodigy violinist. She was the first girl ever admitted to the Paris Conservatoire. She toured the US as a child, and continued successful performances throughout the late 19th century. As a mature performer, she was hailed as one of the leading violinists of the age, and she presented a grand festival of music in San Francisco in February 1870. Reproduction of the image was made by Bradley and Rulofson (or Pulofson), 429 Montgomery Street, San Francisco.

Portrait of C.K. Tuttle's father, Captain Joseph Tuttle, in uniform & leaning on posing chair. He was born on April 6, 1829 in Auburn, Cayuga County, NY, and died at the California Veterans Home in Napa, CA on July 6, 1899 (at age 70), where he is buried. He enlisted in the US Army on April 20, 1847, and served during the Mexican War in Company D, 10th Infantry. He reenlisted several times, and eventually arrived in San Francisco on April 30, 1849, where he was stationed at Benicia Barracks. He served with the Fifth Infantry in Arizona, where he pursued a party of secessionists who were headed to Texas to join the Confederate Army. Photo was taken at Bradley and Rulofson (or Pulofson) studio, 429 Montgomery Street, San Francisco.

He was born on December 10, 1812, and later married Harriet Bostrick, daughter of William and Hannah Bostrick. Photo taken at Ernesberger & Ray photography studio, 83 Genesee Street, Auburn, New York. Back of carte de viste has logo with camera and artist's palette surrounded by scroll, with a lady's image in a circle to the right and left.

Kissing Rocks on Oceanview Blvd. at Esplanade Ave., near Aumentos Rock. Also called Arch Rock. A section of the rock has fallen off the far left edge (as viewed from land) since the photo was taken. According to Clark's Monterey County Place Names, Pacific Grove City Council officially designated this "Kissing Rocks" on April 1, 1970. C.W.J. Johnson taught C.K. Tuttle the art of photography.
